A Place Where Every Voice Belongs
Colorado’s Pop Rock Choir (CPRC) was founded by Marie Hayden in 2021 with one deeply held belief: opportunities to sing should not end after high school or college.
After more than 20 years of teaching at Hinkley High School and continuing her career at Aurora Public Schools, Marie saw firsthand how music creates connection, joy, and a sense of belonging. She created CPRC to give adults a welcoming place to keep singing, make friends, and experience the excitement of performing.
Today, we bring together singers from across the Denver metro area and beyond. Our members come from communities as far south as Castle Rock and as far north as Fort Collins to share their love of music.
No auditions are required, and singers of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Every voice is valued, and every singer has a place to belong.

Five Years of Music and Community
Since our first rehearsal in 2021, we have grown into a vibrant community where friendship, creativity, and joy flourish both on and off the stage.
We come together not only to make great music, but also to grow musically, form lasting friendships, and create memorable performances. Our repertoire includes energetic pop and rock favorites, along with occasional songs from the stage and screen.
On February 20, 2026, CPRC was recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3). This milestone opened a new chapter for our choir, allowing us to expand our outreach, strengthen community partnerships, and deepen our commitment to giving back through music.
Giving Back Through Music
We believe music has the power to bring people together and strengthen communities. That is why we support Colorado high school music and performing arts programs through collaborative performances, charitable giving, and community partnerships.
Sharing the stage with student choirs is one of the most meaningful parts of our mission. These performances connect generations of singers, celebrate arts education, and remind students that singing can remain a lifelong source of joy and belonging.
Whether we are partnering with a local school, performing at a community event, or raising funds for a music program, our mission remains the same: to create music that inspires while making a meaningful difference.
Our Community
We arrive each week from communities across the Front Range, bringing different experiences but sharing a love of music. Through rehearsals and performances, we learn together, encourage one another, and build friendships that extend beyond the choir.
What began as an opportunity to sing has become a community where members feel welcomed, supported, and part of something meaningful.
